Recognition must for private primary and upper primary schools

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 21
 According to Free and Compulsory Cducation Act it compulsory for all pre-primary, primary and upper primary schools running in the state to get recognition from the state government.
Giving this information spokesman of the education department said that as per recent amendments made by the state government all private schools have to submit a self declaration letter in form-1 as per rules. These forms can be downloaded from official website of the department.
He added that date for submission of self declaration letter has been extended till 12th October, 2012.
Spokesman further said that all private schools have to submit a self declaration letter at district education offices (elementary). Those schools which do not submit self declaration letter till due date won't be allowed to run as per section 19(4) in the next session.
