Punjab to provide1 lakh skilled workers to state industry

Punjab Industry and Commerce Minister Anil Joshi today said that the state government would provide at least 1 lakh skilled workers to the industry of Punjab. He said that as per the MoU signed with a German based company 1 lakh trainee students from 50 ITIs would be trained in 4 Multi Skill Development Centers.
          Disclosing this here today Mr. Joshi said that the industry in Punjab would not have to suffer on breakdown of foreign made machines since the company of German would impart needful and complete training to the students at four hi-tech Multi Skill Development Centers. He said that Punjab Government is setting-up multi skill development centers at Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Bathinda and Ludhiana and the students from these centers would also get practical training in German.
          Mr. Joshi said that the SAD-BJP Government was committed to promote technical education in the state to secure new job avenues in the state besides encouraging youngsters towards techincal education.
          The Minister informed that in these 4 modern skill development centers aspirants having qualification up to 8th class would also get the training through three, six months and one year course.
