Appointment letters given to 15 medical faculties

CHANDIGARH, JANUARY 8
Punjab Medical Education and Research Minister Mr. Chunni Lal Bhagat today handed over appointment letters to 15 newly selected medical faculties, which included Professors, Assistant Professors, Senior Lecturer and Lecturers.
Addressing the newly appointed medical faculties here at Chandigarh, Mr Bhagat called them to work with missionary spirit for the welfare of the masses. He said that generally people called Doctors as a second God, who gives new life to the patients. He further said that Government medical college Patiala and Amritsar has given us the very renowned doctors, who have set examples for others in the medical field.  Mr. Bhagat also said that he is very much hopeful that the new medical faculties would take forward their mission of social welfare. 
Mr. Bhagat further said that the Punjab Government was fully committed to provide the best medical facilities to the common man in government medical colleges on nominal rates. He said that newly appointed medical faculties would be posted at Government Medical College Patiala and Amritsar. 
Earlier, Principal Secretary of Medical Education Department Mrs Vinny Mahajan has also greets the newly appointed medical faculties and calls them to work with honesty and commitment. The newly selected medical faculties, who got appointment letters, included Dr. Ashwani kumar (Prof. Surgery), Dr Lavina (Prof. Microbiology), Dr Lavleen Bhatia (Astt. Prof. Medicine), Dr. Raminderpal Singh Sibia (Astt. Prof. Medicine), Dr. Gian Chand (Astt. Prof. Medicine), Dr. Sanjiv Bhagat (Astt. Prof. ENT), Dr. Tejinder Kaur (Astt. Prof. Gynecology), Dr. Preetkanwal Sibia (Astt. Prof. Gynecology), Dr. Parmeet Kaur Bagga (Astt. Prof. Clinical Pathology), Dr. Manpreet Saluja (Sr. Lecturer Cardiothoracic Surgery), Dr. Surya Gupta (Sr. Lecturer Radio Diagnosis), Dr. Shelpreet Kaur Sidhu (Lecturer Microbiology), Dr. Anuradha (Lecturer Anatomy), Dr. Aditya Jain (Lecturer Physiology) and Dr. Anupinder Thind (Lecturer Physiology).
Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Special Secretary of Medical Education & Research Department Mr. H.S. Nanda, Director Dr. A.S. Thind, Dr. K.D. Singh, Principal Government Medical College Patiala, Medical Superintendent Dr. V.K. Sharda and Acting Principal of Government Medical College Amritsar Dr. Jaswant Rai.
