The Shiromani Akali Dal today slammed
Congress led UPA for effecting steepest ever hike in the rail fares of all categories
that is all set to crush the common man already reeling
under price hike of all essential
commodities and demanded immediate roll back of this anti people decision.
The Party President and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal
today said that the common voters of this country were ruing the day when they
elected this insensitive government that was making every essential commodity
out of their reach, by raising their prices many fold. He said that by enacting
the drama of Cash Benefit Transfer of 2-3 schemes hardly effecting 0.001
percent population of the country, the Congress led UPA government has robbed
the hundred percent population of the country by a single stroke.
He said that the impending decision of
the Congress led UPA government to raise the price of diesel by Rs. 2 per
month and by effecting a rise of Rs. 130 per in the price of domestic gas
cylinder, this heartless government has shown its real face to the electorate.
Mr Badal said that governments cannot be run by agenda of World Bankd and IMF
as people elect a government to come out with people friendly welfare schemes rather
than giving them an open licence to loot the public.
The SAD President said that after miserably failing on front of maintaining law
and order protecting common man on the streets of New Delhi and by creating
Guinness Book record in multi lakh crores
scams, this government was doing
everything to crush that common man who is protesting on the streets against
this heartless government.
Questioning the deliberate silence of Capt. Amarinder Singh and other
self styled spokesmen of opposition party on this crucial issue of diesel, LPG
price and rail fare hike Mr. Badal said that these
media savvy paper leaders were confining
their politics to daily statements and were hardly concerned about the
hardships being faced by the people due to daily price hike of one or other
commodity
affecting 100 percent population of the
states. He said that if they have courage Capt. should stage a dharna before 10
Janpath forcing his mentor to stop dancing to the tunes of World Bank and
listen to the outcry of common people.
Mr. Badal said that SAD would continue to struggle till this heartless
government reverts all these anti people decisions and seek the dismissal of
this minority government
