Republic Day celebrated at Khalsa College of Education

The Republic Day was celebrated at Khalsa College of Education (KCE) here today with patriotic furvour. The chief guest at the occasion was District Session Judge Mr H.S. Madaan and guest of honour was Mr Arun Kumar Aggarwal, Secretary  District Legal Services Authority. They were welcomed by Principal of the College, Dr. JS Dhillon.
 Mr H.S. Madaan said on the occasion that the Indian Republic’s success is being appreciated all over the world and we should work day and night to strengthen the democratic institutions. He also appreciated the awareness campaign by the KCE regarding infusing nationalistic feelings amongst the students.
Dr. Dhillon earlier said that they have the duty to train the right teachers who disseminate the knowledge among students to build a just society. College students, and faculty members were present in large number during the salute accorded to the national flag. On this occasion, colourful balloons were set free in the air and patriotic songs, skit, bhangra and power point presentation was organized by the students.
 He also highlighted the importance of celebrating republic day in educational institutions. He further emphasized that for the higher level of aspirations, we should strive to achieve the goals which we have fixed and accentuate the role of a teacher in the effective building of the nation. The function was concluded with the Rendition.
