CHANDIGARH, JANUARY 17
The Punjab
Government today dismissed the services of 16 convicted employees including one
district education officer with immediate effect.
Disclosing this here today, Director General School Education Mr. Kahan Singh
Pannu, IAS, informed that despite being convicted by various courts these
employees were serving in the department. He said that the list of dismissed
employees included; Parmod Kumar (DEO), Dinesh Didwal (Science Master), Amrik
Singh (PTI), Jarnail Singh (Drawing Teacher) Resham Singh (Computer Teacher),
Pritam Singh (Art and Craft Teacher), Jagdev Singh (SS Master), Gurminder
Singh (Science Master), Baldev Singh (Art and Craft Teacher), Raghvir Singh
(PTI), Rachhpal Singh (PTI), Balwinder Singh (SLA), Baldev Singh (Math Master),
Shiv Shakha Singh (SLA) and Satish Kuman (Peon).
Mr. Pannu further informed that education department has also initiated the
process to take such action against seven other employees.
