Keeping in
view the dense fog and cold weather in the state, the Education department
Punjab has extended the winter vacations for the students and staff in all
government primary, Private recognized and aided schools in the state up to January
13.
Disclosing this here today Punjab Education Minister Mr. Sikandar Singh Maluka
said that school timings for class 6th and above will be from 10 a.m onwards
up to January 13, 2013 and for double shifts, the original schedule for the
morning session will start at 8.00 A.M. and in the evening shift time will be
12.30 to 4.15 p.m.
By taking a note of the news published in some papers the minister has further
clarified that the vacation were declared in all primary schools for the
students as well as for the staff ( teaching and non-teaching and there is no
confusion and controversy in this regard in the department.
