CHANDIGARH, SEPT 24
The Punjab Government has invited
application from Non-Government organizations (NGOs) to provide education for
special children i.e. mental retardation, cerebral palsy, hearing/speech and Visual
impairment, multiple disabilities and Autism etc. in the age group of 6-14
years in the State.
Disclosing this here today, an official
spokesman of the Education Department said that NGOs should run residential or
non-residential schools for these children and provide education to them
through appropriate bridge courses of limited duration and undertake other
related activities. NGOs must be registered under the Societies Act 1860 and
would have the three years experience of running educational program. He also
said NGOs would not be blacklisted by any Government agencies.

or get it from the office of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Authority, Punjab.
Application should reach the office of State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha

before October 10, 2012.
