Punjab issues new terms & conditions for chairpersons of Boards and Corporations

The Directorate of Public Enterprises and Disinvestment today issued standard terms & conditions for appointment of non-official chairpersons, part time chairpersons/vice persons/member of the public sector undertakings, boards, apex cooperative institutions/tribunals and commissions.

A spokesman of the Directorate today said that under the instructions non-official chairperson would be provided with a staff car and a driver. He said that no new purchase of vehicle may be made and vehicle may be provided by the concerned PSU/Board/apex cooperative institutions/tribunal/commission from the existing fleet of vehicles. The petrol limit for such car has been limited to 261 liter per month and in case of diesel vehicle the entitlement would be the same. He said that a limit on expenditure on maintenance and repair charges for these vehicles would be Rs.4500 per month or Rs.54000 per year which would not be used towards POL. He said that the amount spent on overhauling of engine of the vehicle and replacement of tyres would be in addition to the above said limit. In case of use personal vehicle reimbursement of Rs.6 per kilometer would be provided subject to a maximum limit of 2610 kms per month.
