The Panchayat and Rural Development Department,
Punjab organized a four day training workshop for newly appointed District
Development and Panchayat Officers (DDPOs), Block Development and Panchayat
Officers (BDPOs) and other employees at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of
Public Administration, here.
While disclosing this here, the official
spokesperson of the department said that this workshop was organized to aware
new officers about the working of the department and to bring more transparency
in the working. He said that Panchayat Department is being strengthened with
all high tech facilities. Therefore, it was a need of hour to make all
officials of the department familiar with these technologies. During the
workshop, senior officials of the state government trained DDOPs, BDPOs, Date
Entry Operators, Accountants and Assistants in different phases to implement
all government schemes at ground level.
The spokesperson further said that special
sessions were held for the implementation of e-panchayat and to sort out any
obstacle in the way of online panchayat accounts. He said that officials were
also asked to submit feedback report to improve the working of the department.
