Badal exhorts newly recruited PCS officers to work with dedication

CHANDIGARH JULY 19 
 The Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal,  today called upon the newly recruited 174 Punjab Civil Services (Executive Branch) and Allied Services Officers to discharge their duties with utmost dedication, sincerity, honesty and professional commitment. 
            Mr. Badal was addressing the PCS Officers here at Punjab Bhawan during an introductory meeting.  He said that with the recruitment of 174 PCS, a fresh young blood has been infused in the functioning of state administration and hoped that these newly appointed officers would certainly take the state to the zenith of its glory. The Chief Minister called upon the officers not to approach for the postings of their choice rather serve the public with missionary zeal.   He congratulated them for cracking the PCS Exam successfully and subsequently got selected on the coveted posts exclusively on their merit and capability adding that the entire process from the conduct of exam till the appointments was carried out absolutely in a free, fair and transparent manner. Wishing them a promising career and a bright future ahead, Mr Badal asked the officers to serve the society with full enthusiasm and devotion for cherishing their aspirations by implementing the policies and programs of the state government in the right earnest.            
Earlier, the Secretary Personnel Mr Anirudh Tiwari welcomed the newly selected officers and said that they were fortunate enough to seek the blessings of the Chief Minister at the onset of their career. Later the newly appointed officers joined for a cup of tea with the Chief Minister.   
            Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. KJS Cheema, Special Secretary Personnel Mr Arun Sekhri and Additional Secretary Personnel Mr Dharminder Pal.
