Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and
sorrow over the sad demise of renowned Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna who
breathed his last at Mumbai this morning after a prolong illness.
In a
condolence message, Mr. Badal described Mr. Rajesh Khanna as a multifaceted personality
being a super star of yesteryears and a former Member Parliament. He said the veteran Bollywood actor was the
heart throb of millions of his fans and in the death of Rajesh Khanna a void has
been created in the Indian film Industry which was difficult to be filled. The Chief
Minister said Rajesh Khanna as a versatile actor who ruled the Hindi Cinema for
over two decades would ever remain alive in the hearts of the people.
Mr. Badal shared his heart-felt sympathies with the members of the bereaved
family and prayed to the Almighty to give courage to bear this irreparable loss
and grant peace to the departed soul.
