Patil asks Kashmiri youth to adopt broadmindedness and positive attitude in life

CHANDIGARH, JULY 4
 A team of 20 Kashmiri students of Kupwara District led by Major A. P. Singh called on Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Mr. Shivraj V. Patil under Sadbhavana Project of Indian Army.
        While interacting with Kashmiri youth, Mr. Patil said that this educational/motivational tour will not only provide you opportunity to visit the various places of our country but will also inculcate a sense of national pride by witnessing vast cultural and religious diversity of India.  He asked them to adopt broadmindedness and positive attitude in their lives. He said you are citizen of India and you are allowed to go any part of the country for education, employment and can live any where.
        Mr. Patil told them that if anything is bad in the world that is narrow mindedness. He said that we all are equal even if we belongs to different religions. We all are human beings, our hunger and anger are
the same. He said real education is broadmindedness which will reward you in life if adopted.
        Mr. Patil asked Kashmiri youth weather they want to join Army, they are raised their hands showing willingness to join Indian Army. He again asked if Banks will advance you loan, are you ready to set up
your own industry. Replying on this, they said that they have no knowledge about this. Mr. Patil said that’s why you were on this Educational tour to motivate and educate you in their area.
        Earlier giving brief description regarding the visit, Major A.P. Singh said over the years, youth in the valley have been misguided by separatists for political gains. In recent times, they have clashed
with security forces and this has alienated them from national mainstream. To nullify this effect and to brign the youth of the state into the national  mainstream, Operation Sadbhavna has been launched by the Army.
        Prominent amongst others who were present in the meeting included Mr. M.P. Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor and Major Vivek Anand, ADC to Governor.
