Setting up two special courts for trials of vigilance cases

CHANDIGARH, JULY 29
 The Punjab Government has taken a strong step to curb corruption in the state by deciding to set up two special courts at Ludhiana and Faridkot for speedy disposal of vigilance cases.
            Disclosing this Mr Suresh Arora, DGP-cum-Chief Director Vigilance Bureau Punjab said thatthe State Government has approved the establishment of Special Courts at Ludhiana and Faridkot instead of Jalandhar and Patiala for fast trial of corruption cases being investigated by the Vigilance Bureau Punjab. Adding further he said that the Punjab Government has sent this approval to the Registrar General, Punjab and Haryana High Court to appoint judicial officers in the courts.
