Maluka exhorts NRIs to invest in Punjab schools

CHANDIGARH, OCT 19

        Punjab Education Minister Sikander Singh Maluka has exhorted the NRIs to invest money for the up-gradation of infrastructure of the schools in the rural areas of the Punjab. Making an appeal to this NRI Fraternity. He said that NRI's must recognized their duties towards their homeland. He said that repair of school building, up gradation of furniture and white wash of the school buildings are core areas where the NRI's could random their services. He said that the name of those NRIs would be inscribed on the boards outside the schools, who have the donated money more than Three lacs who a particular school.
        Mr. Maluka said that he has personally made these appeals to the NRI's during his recent visit in Canada. He said that many of the NRIs have assured their full cooperation in respect of cash and kind for the up up-gradation of school network of the state.
