Departments asked to depute chief vigilance officers by Oct 17

The Punjab Government today issued orders to its all departments to appoint Chief Vigilance Officers by October 17.   
According to an official spokesman, the Vigilance Department has asked all Financial Commissioners, Principal Secretaries and Administrative Secretaries to appoint CVO in their respective departments. The Spokesman said that they have asked the departments to submit the details of deputed CVOs including his/her name, residential and official address, telephone and mobile numbers with the Vigilance Department by October 17. He said that if any department has changed any CVO appointed already, the details of newly appointed officer would have to be submitted with the department by October 25.
          The spokesman said that Printing and Stationary Department, Director Animal Husbandry, Fishery and Dairy Development, Punjab Agro Export, Transport Department (DST, STC, PRTC and Civil Aviation), Director Colonisation, Director Horticulture, Social Security and Women and Child Development Department, Director Employment Generation and Training Department, Director Agriculture, Personnel Department (Establishment-5 Branch) and Police Department has already appointed their respective CVOs. He said that the details of the appointed CVOs have been received by the Vigilance Department while the remaining department should provide the details within given timeframe.
