Badal inaugurates 10-bedded hospital at Bhani Sahib

Pujab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal inaugurated an ultra-modern 10-bedded hospital in the name of Satguru Ram Singh ji, at Bhaini Sahib constructed by the state government in a record time of eight months at a cost of Rs. 85 Lac.
Accompanied by his Cabinet colleagues and MLAs, Mr. Badal visited here today to pay his gratitude to  Sri  Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji for extending his continues blessings and support to SAD-BJP alliance.
Addressing a largely attended function on the occasion of ‘Naam Simran’ religious congregation organized by Namdhari Darbar, Mr. Badal lauded the unparalleled contribution of Namdharis in the independence struggle of the country and said that their government had celebrated 150th anniversary of ‘Kuka Movement’ launched in 1857 by Satguru Ram Singh Ji, in a befitting manner. He said that these were the pro-people policies & programs on the agenda of SAD-BJP alliance coupled with the blessings of Satguru Sri Jagjit Singh Ji Maharaj that SAD-BJP got historic win during recent Punjab Assembly Elections-2012 and became the first political alliance, which was succeeded in forming second consecutive state government in Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that the to bring social reforms and for caving a harmonious society, Namdharis under the leadership Satguru Ram Singh Ji had enormously contributed to liberate the country and launched an effective drive to eradicate the social evils like dowry, killing of newly born female child in the society for which one and all would always bow their heads in reverence. Showing mark of respect the state government had also revived the Chair in the name of Satguru Ram Singh Ji in GNDU and made regular budgetary provision for its smooth functioning, added Mr. Badal.
While paying rich tribute to the Kuka martyrs, Mr. Badal  said that the supreme and unparalleled  sacrifice made by 66 Kuka martyrs, who were blown after tying to the British cannons,  would always remain a  great source  of inspiration for those who have the courage of conviction. He further said that the Kukas were amongst the first warriors of the country who used non-cooperation as the political weapon against the British Rule and created history, the same idea was later adopted by Mahatma Gandhi for the country’s freedom struggle under the name of Non-cooperation movement, he added. Mr. Badal said that our real tribute to Kuka martyrs would be to rise above the parochial considerations of caste, colour and creed to strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, universal brotherhood. SAD-BJP government was fully committed to the same principle for maintaining peace and amity in the state, added Mr. Badal.
Talking to the media persons on the issue of drug trafficking, Mr. Badal categorically said that Centre should impose an immediate ban on the sale of poppy husk in Rajasthan and it was the moral obligation of the Centre to deal it as a national problem. He further suggested the Centre to setup a second defiance line on the international border to completely check the menace of drug trafficking. 
Reiterating the firm commitment of SAD-BJP government for the all round development of the state, Mr. Badal said that during previous term they had initiated numerous programs to bring multifaceted developments for improving the fields like education, health care, infrastructure, industry etc. besides provision of better civic amenities to facilitate people of Punjab and with the grace of Almighty they had succeeded cent-percent. Committing to accelerate the pace of development during present tenure, Mr. Badal said that Punjab would be made surplus power state very soon with the completion three thermal power stations at Rajpura, Talwandi Sabo and Goindwal Sahib.
On this occasion Mr. Badal also presented a set of coi no8ns of Rs. 100 & Rs. 5 commemorated to the Kuka movement recently released by GoI.
