DAVSSS-8 face GMSSS-16 in u-19 boys tennis final

Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16 will challenge DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8 in the boys under-19 team championship final of the Chandigarh Inter-School Tennis Stadium here. In semi-final matches played today, GMSSS-16 defeated St John’s School-26 by 2-0 and DAVSSS-8 beat DAVM-15 by an identical 2-0 margin.

In the under-17 semi-finals, DAV M-15 beat St John’s by 2-0 and Delhi Public School-40 ousted Stawberry Field-26 by an identical 2-0 margin. The winners will now cross swords in the final.

D.A.V.P.S – 8 and Sacred Heart-26 set up title clash as they meet in the girls under-19 final .

Boys under-17 (semi-finals): D.A.V.M—15 bt  St .John – 26 by 2-0 (Rohit Kumar bt  Abhijeet  6  -- 3,  6  -- 4,  Param Pua bt Adhhayan 6 – 4 ,   6 -- 1). D.P.S.—40 bt Stawberry Field-26 by 2-0  (Sahit bt Zorawar 6 – 0, 6 – 1,  Santvir bt Naval 6 – 2, 6 – 0).  

Under 19 (boys) (semi-finals): G.M.S.S.S. – 16 bt St.John’s – 26 by 2-0 (Manjat Singh bt Dhruv Walia  6  -- 0, 6  -- 0,   Parnab Suri bt   Dhruv Purari  6 – 3 ,  6 --3). D.A.V.S.S.S. – 8 bt D.A.V.M – 15 by 2-0  Ranjeet  bt         Digvijay 6 – 0, 6 – 0,   Krishna  bt Samrat    3 – 6 , 6 – 3, 6 – 0).   

Girls U-19(semi-finals): D.A.V.P.S – 8 bt DPS-40 by 2-0 (Nikita Bishnoi  bt  Rahat Manrai  8 – 1,  Gaytri                 bt   Charvi Saxsena   8 – 6).
