Employment allowance to professionally skilled students

The Punjab government has launched Maharaja Ranjit Singh Professional skill Scheme, under which employment allowance would be given to the students getting higher education.
While disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the state government said that Rs.1000 per month would be given to the students as employment allowance for enabling them pursuing higher vocational/technical education. He said that the students could claim the employment allowance for vocational/technical course of the duration of three/six months and one year. He said that the amount of the allowance would be directly credited to the account of institute though Electronic Service Delivery (ESD), in which the student is getting education.
The spokesperson further said that the students between the age of 17 to 30 years having annual family income less than 1.5 lakh, could claim the employment allowance. Desirous students could contact the District Employment Generation & Training Bureau and Employment Office.
4 PPS OFFICERS TRANSFERRED
 tThe Punjab government today issued transfer orders of 4 PPS officers with immediate effect. According to an official spokesman, Mr. Sushil Kumar has been posted as Commandant 2ndCommando Battalion, Bahadurgarh, Mr. Iqbal Singh as AIG, Litigation, Mr. Randhir Singh Uppal as Assistant Commandant 5th IRB, Amritsar and Mrs. Harpreet Kaur as AIG, Welfare Punjab
