Punjab CM greets people on the eve of Holi

The Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, today extended his warm greetings to the people of Punjab on the eve of Holi- The festival of colours.
In a message, the Chief Minister said that this festival has a special significance in our centuries-old culture that propagated the unity of mankind, tolerance and compassion. Celebrating such festivals not only strengthen the bonds of the communal harmony in the society but also inculcate the eternal social and moral values amongst the people, added Mr. Badal.
The Chief Minister appealed the people to celebrate this joyous occasion in unison with religious fervor and gaiety rising above of the petty considerations of caste, creed and colour.
The Punjab deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, also felicitated the people of Punjab on the eve of Holi, the festival of colours. 
  In a message, Mr. Badal said that Holi provides us an opportunity to break all barriers for sharing our joy, sentiments and good feelings and to spread happiness all around. He said such occasions strengthen bonds of love, affection and amity between various sections of the society and facilitate sharing of each other’s joy and happiness.
       Calling upon the people to celebrate this festival collectively, Mr. Badal said that it would help us in further strengthening secular ethos of our country.
