Renowned journalist and Rajya Sabha MP, HK Dua will preside over
107th Convocation of historic Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA) on
March 24. More than 400 students from diverse disciplines would receive degrees
at the function. Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, Ram Singh would be guest of
honour, said KCA Principal Dr.Daljit Singh. He said Khalsa College Governing
Council (KCGC) President Satyajit Singh Majithia, Vice President Charanjit
Singh Chadha and honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina will be
amongst special guests.
Mr Dua, who had been Editor of four major national dailies, a
journalist of world fame and Advisor to two Indian Prime Ministers, would
deliver his convocational address, after bestowing degrees upon post-graduate
and B.Sc. (Agri.), BFST and BPT students, said he. The function will be held at
College’s Sundar Singh Majithia Hall. More than 70 medals would also be given
to the meritorious students during the Convocation.
