The Punjab
Government has declared March 17 (Sunday) as the weekly paid holiday for
workers working in shops, commercials establishments and factories situated
within in limits of Nagar Panchayat Talwara, district Hoshiarpur to exercise
their franchise in the jurisdiction of the poll for General Election to Nagar
Panchayat, Talwara to be held on March 17.
Disclosing this
here today, an official spokesperson of the state government said that the
state government has declared March 17 a paid holiday in lieu of
weekly off in all shops, commercials establishments and factories in the Nagar
Panchyat, Talwara, where ‘Sunday’ is not a closed day within the jurisdiction
of the Nagar Panchayat in lieu of their normal weekly holiday.
