Punjab to launch anti-drug drive in schools: Maluka

To aware school children about the bad & harmful effects of drugs Punjab Government to launch a anti-drug campaign in schools in this month.
 Disclosing this here today the Punjab Education Minister,  Mr. Sikandar Singh Maluka said that usage of drugs effecting health of people especially youth is of deep concern. Punjab Government has decided to launch a two day awareness programme in all government, private and aided schools and colleges of the State to aware children at early stage about the ill effects of drugs.
Minister has directed all Block Education Officers and Principals of all schools and colleges to carry out the awareness campaign per prescribed schedule by the education department. Besides lecturers by experts against drugs, poster making, slogan and poem writing competitions will be held on November 19.
 All institutions would take out two hour anti drug campaign rallies in their respective areas on November 20. All Schools would function as per daily routine after the rallies.
